PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — Authorities in Montgomery County are investigating an apparent case of road rage that led to a shooting on a highway Wednesday night.

Pennsylvania State Police say the shooting happened on Route 309 near a toll plaza for the Pennsylvania Turnpike in Upper Dublin Township. Around 9:30 p.m., two men in an older-model sedan pulled up next to the victim's vehicle and opened fire.

The 63-year-old victim was hit once in his upper arm. He was taken to Abington Memorial Hospital for treatment and is expected to survive.
