PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — There was a buzz down at the Wells Fargo Center Thursday night, and not just because the Flyers entered their home game on an eight game winning streak.

Recent moves by the Phillies and Sixers only added to that excitement, something many fans said as they shared their thoughts with KYW Newsradio.

"It's a really good time to be a Philly sports fan right now," said Mark Roman.

Last year's Eagles Super Bowl victory aside, that's something you don't hear too often in Philadelphia. But it's been a pretty eventful week on the sports scene.

"It's insane," said Chris Stumpo.

Let's start with the Sixers, who not only traded away Markelle Fultz Thursday - who has been a disappointment since the team selected him number one overall - but they acquired Tobias Harris in a separate deal earlier in the week.

"The Sixers gave us something to get excited about," said Kevin McMahon. "'The Process is getting close to being complete, looking forward to it."

The Phillies traded for all-star catcher J.T. Realmuto around the same time as the Fultz deal.

"Everyone in the league wanted him," said Steve Adiletto. "The Phillies did what they had to get him."

And the Flyers haven't lost a game in regulation since Jan. 12.

"We've got Carter Hart," said Roman. "He's our savior, the goalie of the future."

All this has Adiletto and many other fans envisioning yet another parade down Broad Street.

"For everyone to be contending at the same time, potentially, that's great for the city," he said. "We're a big market and it seems like we're acting like it for once."

And what was a memorable stretch for Philadelphia sports fans could soon get even better.

"Bryce Harper, please, we need you here, we want you here," added Roman.
