LOS ANGELES (KYW Newsradio) -- They say revenge is a meal best served cold, but a Beverly Hills lunch almost cost one big league pitcher $1,000,000!

After some $30 pancakes and $28 eggs, Houston Astros ace Justin Verlander, got a reminder Saturday that Dodgers fans haven't forgotten the 2017 World Series.

Verlander posted a message and photo of a charge on his restaurant bill for $1,000,000 and the words "Dodger Killer" underneath. Velander's post would read, "#BeverlyHillsHotel really making me pay for that World Series win Thanks for the great lunch as always!"

Former professional tennis player Mardy Fish, who was with the pitcher, had a warning about eating in LA with Verlander, and it wasn't just because of his $42 salad.

Verlander may have helped the Astros beat the Dodgers in last year's championship, but it was "Sonny L." who got the last laugh.
