ATLANTIC CITY, N.J. (KYW Newsradio) — Miss America fans will be able to keep up with tradition, as the organization has signed a deal to put this September's finals on TV.

The future of the pageant was cast in doubt after Dick Clark Productions pulled out last November following an embarrassing string of emails within Miss America management, which led to what is now an female leadership team.

A press release did not address the producer situation, but it did announce that this year's pageant will be held in at Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City just after Labor Day weekend.

The finals will air live on ABC on Sept. 9.

"The 2019 Competition marks the dawning of a new day for the Miss America Organization," read the release. "This year's show will highlight women from all walks of life who are advancing the message of female empowerment through their efforts in the areas of scholarship, talent and social impact."

Tickets for all events will go on sale next month via Ticketmaster.

Look for three days of preliminaries starting on Sept. 5. The traditional boardwalk parade is set for Sept. 8, the night before the finals.
