ARDMORE, Pa. (KYW Newsradio) — Authorities in Montgomery County are searching for the killer of a onetime Playboy model whose body was found inside her Main Line condo.

Lower Merion police discovered the body of 36-year-old Christina Carlin-Kraft Wednesday night in the bedroom of her condo in the Cambridge Square complex in the 100 block of Sibley Avenue in Ardmore. She had been strangled.

Carlin-Kraft's online modeling resume says she had done photo shoots for Maxim, Nicole Miller, Victoria's Secret, Vanity Fair and Playboy.

Residents in the normally quet neighborhood are uneasy.

"I guess you get a little nervous," said John Touey, who has lived on the block for the last two years. "You don't expect it ever, but you certainly don't expect it in this neighborhood."

Officials are telling residents they don't have to be concerned because they believe the victim knew her killer.

But Touey and others are still stunned by what transpired.

"We never felt unsafe in this neighborhood," he said, "so to hear something like that is pretty shocking."

"Very scary, very unnerving," added Mary Stack, who also lives nearby. "[The area is> just surrounded by wonderful neighborhoods. You're close to Lower Merion, you're close to Narberth. Sadly, you're thinking now it can happen anywhere, but it's still very unsettling."

Police are asking anyone who knows anything about this incident to give them a call.
