PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — On Tuesday, the Mummers Parade will once again be taking over Philadelphia.

But before the New Year's Day tradition returns, there will be some road closures and parking restrictions throughout the city.

As of Thursday night, the first parking restriction is already in effect just outside City Hall.

Expect to see more "NO PARKING" signs in the coming days.

There will be some street closures too. You can see the full list here.

The city encourages anyone going to the parade to use public transportation because of all the closures.
