NEW JERSEY (KYW Newsradio) -- A winter storm warning remains in effect until 4 a.m. Monday for Cape May and Atlantic Counties.

Governor Phil Murphy says New Jersey Department of Transportation crews are out in force.

"We've got a thousand pieces, actually more than a thousand pieces of equipment out there, plows and spreaders," he said.

Murphy says even if the snow's stopped falling, roads that are clear and just look wet can still be hazardous.\

"Given the temperatures, the conditions can change quickly, so I think it's important for folks to be vigilant,” he said. “That famous phrase is true, bridges freeze first."

He urges those who don't have to travel to stay home.

"A lot of folks out there don't have that choice, so for the folks who are out there, I just ask everybody to be really cautious," he said.
