PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — The Flyers have a rich history of success, featuring key characters, special moments and some heartbreak.

A new book captures these moments, and it's written by a couple of sports writers who have been there for a lot of them.

Sam Carchidi covers the Flyers for The Philadelphia Inquirer, and Wayne Fish is the founder and editor FlyingFishHockey, a website that provides coverage of pro hockey, specifically the Flyers.

Together, they have decades of covering the Flyers on their resumes.

The two have come together to write the new book, “The Big 50: Philadelphia Flyers: The Men and Moments That Made the Philadelphia Flyers.”

KYW Newsradio's Matt Leon welcomed Carchidi and Fish to the studio recently to talk about the book.
