Made in America adds Kendrick Lamar

Jay-Z's two-day music festival is in its seventh year.

PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — Post Malone and Nicki Minaj will be headlining this year's Made in America festival in Philadelphia during Labor Day weekend.

Meek Mill will be performing as well, months after he was incarcerated after a controversial ruling and then freed from prison.

Pop-dance megastars Zedd and Diplo are also on the bill, as are Miguel, Janelle Monáe and Alessia Cara. 

On Aug. 8, Pusha T, Tekashi 6ix9ine, Lil Skies and Daniel Caesar were added to the bill. Announcement of Kendrick Lamar's addition to the lineup was made on Monday, Aug. 13.

Made in America — Jay-Z's well-known curated two-day music festival — in its seventh year in Philly. Tickets for the Sept. 1 and 2 shows go on public sale Friday.

Since the inaugural two-day concert in 2012, the event has generated $31.9 million in economic impact for the city. 

This year's festival will continue to benefit the ACLU of Pennsylvania as well as United Way of Greater Philadelphia and Southern New Jersey.
