ATLANTIC CITY, N.J. (KYW Newsradio) — New Jersey's lieutenant governor said reports of Atlantic City Mayor Frank Gilliam and a city councilmember fighting outside a casino nightclub early Sunday is "troubling."

The Press of Atlantic City reported that surveillance video from a parking area at Haven Nightclub shows Gilliam and another man punching each other. The newspaper said the same footage shows Councilman Jeffree Fauntleroy "violently throwing" a man to the ground.

The Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office will only say it's "reviewing" what happened at the Golden Nugget. As of Tuesday, the incident has been referred to the Cape May County Prosecutor's Office. The office offered no further comment.

The New Jersey Attorney General's Office said the change was made to avoid any perception of a conflict of interest.

No charges have been filed.

Surveillance video has been turned over to investigators.

The only further comment came from Lt. Gov. Sheila Oliver: "We understand law enforcement is looking into it. We are committed to continued progress in Atlantic City and are working to make sure that happens."
