CAPE MAY COUNTY, N.J. (KYW Newsradio) — No criminal charges will be filed in light of this month’s fight outside an Atlantic City nightclub involving several people, including elected city officials.

The Nov. 11 dustup outside the Haven nightclub at the Golden Nugget went to the Cape May County Prosecutor to avoid a conflict of interest.

Mayor Frank Gilliam and Councilman Jeffrey Faultleroy got into a fight with club employees, and both were served with a private criminal complaint. A North Wildwood municipal judge will deal with that next month.

But County Prosecutor Jeffrey Sutherland, without an explanation, decided no criminal charges would be filed by his office.

Atlantic City Democratic party leaders want Gilliam and Fauntleroy suspended without pay by the Murphy Administration.

Lt. Gov. Sheila Oliver says no decision on that will come until after an administrative review of the case, which will start after the municipal court proceedings end.

The video below was released by the N.J. Attorney General and depicts the Nov. 11 fight.
