PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — A chemical spill reported at the Wawa dairy plant in Delaware County early Monday morning appears to have been much ado about nothing.

Bill Cairns, chief of the Rocky Run Fire Department, says a 55-gallon drum of cleaning solution was leaking. He described it as a minor incident. Local fire departments and the Delaware County Hazardous Materials team showed up.

The spill was contained and did not contaminate any food products. No one was injured.

The incident was declared under control in under three hours.
