PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — New Jersey State Police say a school bus overturned on the New Jersey Turnpike on Friday morning, creating a huge traffic backup. No one on the bus suffered any serious injuries.

It happened shortly after 11:30 a.m. between exits 3 and 4 in Cherry Hill.

According to state police, the bus driver stated the brakes locked up and the bus accelerated. The bus then went out of control and went off the highway.

State troopers say all of the adults and children on the bus were taken to Cooper University Hospital in Camden to be checked out. There were 21 children and 4 adults traveling from the Boys and Girls Club of Plainfield in North Jersey to the Camden Aquarium for a field trip.
