Norristown police seek help finding man they say grabbed, robbed multiple women

NORRISTOWN, Pa. (KYW Newsradio) — Norristown police want residents to be on high alert after multiple woman have come forward this month saying a man they've never seen before grabbed them.

There are five incidents that have been reported, each happening between Dec. 1 and Dec. 8. 

Police say the suspect grabbed the women from behind and took them to the ground. Some of the victims say the were also robbed.

Nobody was seriously injured, but police want to get this man off the streets before this escalates.

There's no particular time police say he strikes, but all the incidents were reported in the west end of Norristown, three along Haws Avenue. 

Police remind residents to always be aware of their surroundings and ask that you call them if you know who this man might be. 

The Norristown Police Department describe the suspect as follows:

- Black male
- Light to medium complexion 
- 5'10" - 6'00" tall
- Medium to heavy build 
- Wearing a dark colored hoody and either jeans or sweatpants 
- The suspect may have some facial hair
