PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — The Philadelphia nurse charged in connection with the death of the father of a former Trump national security adviser faced a full day of testimony Tuesday during a preliminary hearing.

Employees who worked at Cathedral Village Senior Center while H.R. McMaster Sr. was there took the stand, answering questions about medical protocol and procedures inside the facility.

Christann Gainey, 30, has been charged with involuntary manslaughter, felony neglect and tampering with records for McMaster's death in April.

The 84-year-old died of blunt force trauma following a fall the night before.

Investigators said Gainey never did critical neurological checks.

Because of a scheduling conflict, the second half of the preliminary hearing will be held next month, with more testimony to come.
