Video: Officials searching for man who punched SEPTA bus driver on New Year’s Eve

PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — Officials are offering a $1,000 reward for information that leads to the arrest of a man who punched a SEPTA bus driver in the face on New Year’s Eve. 

SEPTA released video of the assault, which occurred on Dec. 31 around 10:30 p.m. A man in a grey Reebok sweatshirt is seen boarding the Route 113 bus at Pembroke and Oak avenues in East Lansdowne.

He talks to the bus driver for about 20 seconds.

SEPTA officials say he was refusing to pay and was arguing with the driver, before he punched her twice in the face.

The driver suffered a cut and a bruise.

The Citizens Crime Commission is offering the $1,000 reward for any information that leads to the arrest of the man.
