(TRENTON, NJ) Seniors and disabled people in New Jersey can benefit from a central, online site to help them get the services they may need.

Older people have to cope with limited income and ever increasing needs, particularly on the health front, and for those with physical limitations, they have challenges of their own.

That's where NJSave.com comes in.

"This online application is what we want to call a one-stop online application for older New Jerseyans to apply for benefits that we believe so many of them are eligible for,” Division of Aging Director Louise Rush told KYW Newsradio.

Those who are eligible can apply for savings on everything from Medicare and drug programs, to utility and nutritional services.  All in one place.

For some people going online can be challenging, and maybe even for a caregiver. That’s why there’s a YouTube tutorial to get you started. If all else fails, paper applications are still available.

Still, Rush says it’s easy to get it done.

“They can attach all of their documents right on line,” she said. “We have tools here at the division that they don’t have to supply so many paper documents such as bank statements and stuff like that.”

You have to live in the Garden State, meet income guidelines, and either be over 65 or eligible for disability under Social Security.

You can file an online application or view the tutorial here . If you want to file a paper application, you can go to any county agency on aging or call 1-800-792-9745.
