Pa. Conference For Women Sold Out In Less Than A Week

April 18, 2018 - 1:55 pm

PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) -- Bad news for those who haven't scooped up tickets to this year's Pennsylvania Conference for Women.

The organization tweeted Wednesday that all of this year's tickets have been sold out, but those interested can still sign up for the waitlist. Registration opens April 12.

The conference has grown since 2004 to reach more than 12,000 attendees. The 15th annual event will take place Oct. 12 at the Pennsylvania Convention Center.

The nonprofit organization is committed to promoting, communicating and amplifying the influence of women in the workplace, according to its website, covering issues from the pay gap to gender discrimination.

This year's lineup includes 20 female speakers — writers, entrepreneurs, CEOs and more accomplished women — in addition to human rights lawyer Amal Clooney and actress and disability advocate Maysoon Zayid as keynotes.

Registration is currently open for its first annual "Workplace Summit" on June 7 geared toward both men and women to build collaborative workplaces and break down invisible dividers between genders.
