PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) -- PATCO has resumed all service.

After a late afternoon technical issue forced the closer of almost all service along Locust Stations, service has been restored just in time for the evening rush hour.

According to a statement on PATCO's website, SEPTA, which provides the power supply to PATCO’s Philadelphia Stations, discovered a fault in the power cable that services the 9/10th, 12/13th, & 15/16th Locust Street stations.

Following the discovery, PATCO says emergency repairs had to be made, which resulted in the stations temporary closure. This resulted in the 8th and Market Streets station to be the only active station in the line.

Fortunately for many commuters, SEPTA was able to quickly make the emergency repairs before the evening rush hours got underway.

PATCO does warn, although the service has been restored, there may be some residual delays.
