NORRISTOWN, Pa. (KYW Newsradio) — An incumbent on the Chester County Board of Commissioners has been voted out, while the brother of a Montgomery County commissioner failed to make the fall ballot.

Chester County Commissioner Kathi Cozzone lost her primary race to Josh Maxwell and Marian Moskowitz.

Cozzone has been on the Chester County Board of Commissioners since 2008, leading as vice chair since 2011. She failed to secure the county party’s endorsement earlier this year, which went to Maxwell.

Maxwell and Moskowitz will face Republicans Terence Farrell and Michelle Kichline, who were unopposed in the primary. The top three vote-getters will be voted on the board.

In Montgomery County, incumbent Joe Gale was the top vote-getter in the Republican primary, but his brother, Sean Gale, won’t be on the ballot in the fall. Sean Gale finished fourth in voting.

Whitpain Supervisor Fred Conner will join Joe Gale on the ballot in the fall, where they’ll face incumbent Democrats Val Arkoosh and Ken Lawrence.
Hatboro voted for a dedicated tax to fund the library, which passed by only 14 votes.
