PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — Philadelphia International Airport now features a new quiet room for passengers to decompress, relax and reflect before boarding their plane.

It's a small space, only about 315 square feet, split into two areas.

"We have frosted glass seperating the two sections, but there are wooden benches where folks can sit and think. And there's also a place where we put a foot bath in for those who need to wash their feet before they pray," Chellie Cameron, Philadelphia aviation CEO said.

Cameron says the idea came from passengers.

"If it looks like there's demand for it in other locations in the airport, we'll see if we can find the space and try and replicate the concept," she said.

The quiet room is in the secure area of terminals D and E.
