PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — Health officials in Philadelphia are warning of potential hepatitis A exposure from a food worker in Kensington.

The health department confirms an employee at Yumcious Donuts on the 3000 block of Kensington Avenue has the virus.

Officials are recommending anyone who purchased donuts from Yumcious or the Quick Stop at the same location between Aug. 20 and Sept. 4 receive the hepatitis A vaccine as soon as possible.

It's the latest in a rising number of hep A cases in the city.

The health commissioner in August declared a public health emergency in response to the outbreak.
