ALBANY, N.Y. (KYW Newsradio) — The Philadelphia Soul will wrap up their regular season Saturday night by visiting the Albany Empire.

Philadelphia is 7-4 on the season and coming off a thrilling 49-48 win over Baltimore at the Wells Fargo Center. After scoring a late touchdown to pull within one, the Brigade went for two and the win, but the Soul came up with the stop to seal the victory.

"We actually played better than the score indicated," Soul head coach Clint Dolezel said. "I thought we dominated the game in every phase. [Quarterback Dan Raudabaugh] came out and was a little rusty on the first couple series, but knocked that off real quick and was solid the whole night. Defensively, we played really, really well. Got them in fourth downs and long quite a bit and kind of the same old story that's gone with us all year long, we just couldn't get off the field. It ended up being a ballgame at the end, but we've found ways to win the close ones, so hats off to my guys."

Raudabaugh had been sidelined for several weeks with a shoulder issue. In his return to action against the Brigade, he was 22 of 27 for 255 yards and seven touchdowns with just one interception.

Philadelphia can earn the top playoff seed in the AFL with a win on Saturday night paired with a Baltimore loss to Washington. But Dolezel said this match-up with the Empire will be a battle.

"Two good teams," Dolezel added. "They are loaded at every level."

The Soul have gone 2-1 against the Empire so far this season. The last game between the two teams was also up in Albany, where Philadelphia won 75-74. The Soul scored the winning touchdown on the final play of the game.

"I expect another old-fashioned shootout, possibly," Dolezel said. "Both offenses are really playing well."

Saturday night's game begins at 6 p.m.
