PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — The Philadelphia School District has suspended a teacher while it investigates allegations that she took bribes from her students, in exchange for good grades.

The district says Amanda Richardson, a humanities teacher at the Learning In New Concepts High School in North Philadelphia, has been removed from the classroom while the inspector general and Philadelphia Police Department investigate.

The district so far isn't commenting on what the bribes may have been, or how many students may have been involved. The LINC school, is a project-based high school on Erie Avenue opened by the district four years ago.
