PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — There’s something new at the Philadelphia Zoo.

It’s known as the Wild Works ropes course and its 34 feet high.

At first glance the new attraction looks a lot like a roller coaster. You have to buckle up in a climbing harness as you cross bridges, balance on ropes and take a quick zip to the bottom.

Philadelphia Zoo CEO Vik Dewan says climbers can let their imaginations go wild.

Reporter: I can pretend I'm a monkey or something that climbs I can do that right?

"Yes, you can and I think that is ultimately what makes a zoo visit so special,” Dewan said. “Not only do you see these amazing animals, but you have an opportunity to do some of the things they're doing as well and experience some of the things they do as well, so yes you can be a monkey for a day John."

The course is for kids and adults. It takes about a 1/2 hour to complete and you can find ticket information at
