PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — Philadelphia police have released video of a suspect wanted for an attempted sexual assault. Investigators say he followed the victim to her apartment, and they hope someone recognizes him before he strikes again.

After riding the elevator to the victim's floor at 600 North Broad, the suspect followed her to her door, forced his way in and then forced himself on her, Captain Sekou Kinebrew said.

"They struggle violently. Tremendous courage and fortitude on the part of the victim," he said. "She fights mightily against her attacker."

Kinebrew says the suspect attempted to tie her up and cover her face, but she was able to escape the apartment, and the suspect fled. He says finding this man is a top priority.

"The presumption, particularly of sex offenders, is they're going to re-offend if they're not off the street," Kinebrew said.

It happened Saturday, Nov. 17, a little after 3 p.m. The suspect is clearly visible in surveillance video

Anyone who knows or recognizes him is asked to call police immediately.
