PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — Philadelphia police are looking for two cars that hit and killed a man walking across Bustleton Avenue over the weekend.

Captain Mark Overwise, with the Accident Investigation Division, says the victim, believed to be around 40 years old, was hit while walking across Bustleton Avenue at Stanwood Street just after 11:30 p.m.

"The first vehicle was a 2009 to 2015 white Honda Pilot. Should have some front-end danage to the vehicle, the right front," Overwise said on Monday. "About 20 seconds later, a Toyota 4Runner, dark in color, ran over that man and continued northbound on Bustleton Avenue."

The 4Runner lost part of its bumper on impact.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene.

Overwise is asking people who live in the area to check their security cameras for video of those two vehicles. Anyone with a tip can call AID at 215-685-2180.
