PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — If you're planning watch the two New Year's Eve fireworks shows over the Delaware River up close, you have plenty of options.

"Every place along the waterfront who can have a party and has great front row seats to the fireworks, they have a party of some sort or another," said Emma Fried-Cassorla with the Delaware River Waterfront Corporation.

You can watch for free at some of those spots.

"Check it out at Race Street Pier, at Penn's Landing and then there's a bunch of spaces along Market Street people usually use," explained Fried-Cassorla.

Other places will require a ticket if you decide to go there.

"The battleship New Jersey, FringeArts, the Independence Seaport Museum, the Spirit of Philadelphia, the Moshulu, SugarHouse Casino, Dave & Buster's, Cherry Street Pier," she said, and the list goes on.

Wherever you decide to go to watch, Fried-Cassorla promises you're in for a treat.

"You definitely have an amazing view," she said. "We actually can shoot bigger shells than anywhere else in the city because we're over the river, so they go really high and they are very big and you can see them from anywhere over the waterfront."

She reminds anyone coming to the waterfront to dress appropriately: These spaces are outside. And try to avoid driving close to the waterfront if possible. Park elsewhere and walk, or take public transportation.

And don't forget, the soundtracks for both shows, at 6 p.m. and at midnight, can be heard on KYW Newsradio.
