NORTH PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — The Philadelphia Police Department said two SEPTA Regional Rail trains collided Tuesday afternoon.

Police say the two southbound trains briefly made "minor contact" at the Temple station near Ninth and Berks streets.

Five people were reported injured and taken to Temple University Hospital with minor injuries.

SEPTA said the trains were not traveling at a high speed when the incident occurred. The transit agency said, however, all Regional Rail lines going through the Temple University station will be experiencing delays.
