Police: 91-year-old man, 2 others found dead inside Tioga-Nicetown residence

PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — Philadelphia police are investigating after two men and a woman are found dead inside of a residence in the Tioga-Nicetown section of the city.

Authorities say just after 7:30 p.m., officers were called to a home along the 1900 block of West Venango Street after a female resident located the victims.

The victims, police say, were all pronounced dead on the scene and the home was “ransacked.”

Philadelphia Police Commissioner Richard Ross held a press conference Saturday night to provide additional information on this tragic scene.

He says one of the victims, a resident of the home, is a 91-year-old man.

Ross says he believes the female victim could possibly the daughter of the 91-year-old, but that they still working to identifty the victims. 

All of the victims' cause of death, Ross says, has yet to be determined.

"We're treating it as a burglary gone awry or anything like that. Again, I don't know the cause of death and a lot of questions you may have, I don't have answers for right now," Ross added.  

Officials say no arrests have been made, and a weapon was not recovered.
