Police identify, charge suspect in Philadelphia airport stabbing death

Police have identified and charged the suspect in a stabbing death at Philadelphia International Airport on Thursday afternoon. 

Philadelphia police have charged 35-year-old Kevin Emanuel with murder and possession of an instrument of crime in the stabbing inside a secure area of Terminal E.

Police say an argument broke out in a break room at the airport around 11 a.m. between 28-year-old Aaron Jenkins and another employee, when Emanuel intervened and allegedly stabbed Jenkins. Jenkins was taken to Penn Presbyterian Hospital, where he was pronounced dead less than an hour later. 

Emanuel was stopped by airport police and taken into custody.
