PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — The Philadelphia Police Department has released the names of the four homicide victims found in a West Philadelphia basement last week.

The youngest victims are both female — 17-year-old Yaleah Hall and 20-year-old Tiyaniah Rakele Hopkins — and both from North Philadelphia.

The two male victims have been identified as 31-year-old William Taylor and 28-year-old Akeen Mattox.

All four were found shot in the back of the heads in the basement of a house on the 5100 block of Malcolm Street last week Monday after someone called for a wellness check.

Court records show Mattox has had several run-ins with the law, including gun and drug arrests, and a burglary conviction , but police would not say whether it's connected to the killings.

A neighbor said they heard "banging" coming from the house the night before but dismissed it because the home was under renovation.
