PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — Police in lower Bucks County are searching for the driver of a vehicle involved in a fatal hit-and-run Tuesday night.

Falls Township Police say the 70-year-old victim had just left JoJo's ice cream shop in Levittown. He was struck by a sedan shortly after 9 p.m. as he walked through the store's parking lot, and began to cross New Falls Road. The vehicle never stopped. The victim was rushed to an area hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.

Police say an image of the vehicle that hit him was captured on the store's security camera. It's described as a dark-colored, four-door sedan with tinted windows. The vehicle is missing its front-right hubcap, and it would have damage to the front end as well as the windshield from where the victim was hit.

Anyone with information is urged to contact Officer Stephanie Metterle at 215-949-9100, extension 440. Anyone who has any contact with the vehicle is encouraged to call police dispatch at 215-945-3100.
