Police search for suspects in Delaware County officer-involved shooting

FOLCROFT, Pa. (KYW Newsradio) -- Authorities in Delaware County are investigating after gunfire in a police-involved shooting broke out just before 4:30 p.m. Monday. 

Folcroft Police say officers came across the suspects inside of a vehicle along the 1100 block Taylor Drive, near Monroe Street.

The suspects got out of their vehicle and showed a gun, according to police. It is not known who fired the first shot or how many shots were fired.

According to police, both suspects fled the scene and no officers were injured in the exchange.

Following the incident, authorities asked residents of the Delmar Village-area to shelter in place as they searched for the two suspects. 

Folcroft Police took to Twitter with an image of one of the two alleged suspects, and say he is wanted for attempted homicide of a police officer.

Just before 9 p.m. authorites cleared the Delmar Village-area, but ask residents, if they see somthing suspicious or recognize the suspect to please contact police.
