PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) -- A search is underway for two suspects accused of a Southwest Philadelphia shooting that left a father, and his pregnant daughter injured.

Detectives say a 23-year-old woman was at home at 58th and Hatfield Streets around 10 p.m. with her father and new husband, after their weekend wedding.

"The ex-wife of the man she married saw it on social media," says Philadelphia police Lieutenant John Walker.

He says the ex-wife and two others confronted the newly married pair, "There was some type of altercation or fight."

Eventually, gunfire

"There are definitely two guns out there - both from the same side, which we believe is the ex-wife's side," Walker explained.

The first victim, who is pregnant with twins, was shot in the hip and arm.  Her 74-year-old father jumped in to protect her and was shot ten times.

"Obviously he took the brunt of the injuries here," Walker said.

He says now the police eed answers from the public.

"These are these situations we see time and time again, where people can't control their emotions and anger, but they bring a weapon into the game and it changes lives," he said. "The 74-year-old guy is fighting for his life, and a daughter who is pregnant and who could have been killed, and had two kids killed."
