PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — Philadelphia Police are searching for two men who robbed a couple before stealing their car in Center City early Thursday morning.

Police say a 72-year-old man and a 59-year-old woman were packing up the car outside of their home on South Camac Street in the Gayborhood, when two armed men approached them around 4:30 a.m.

The robbers went into the couple's home and took their cellphones and wallets. They tried to take the car as well, but it shut down at the end of the block when it got too far from the owner who still had the key fob, which is necessary to start the engine.

Police say a fake gun, possibly a toy, was left behind in the car. The two men got away, and nobody was hurt.
