PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — Authorities are investigating a deadly accident that shutdown parts of I-76 and Roosevelt Boulevard for most of Sunday morning.

Just after 7 a.m., a car that was getting off the Schuylkill Expressway heading north on the Roosevelt Boulevard Expressway was struck from the rear.

A 31-year-old man was ejected from his vehicle and then run over.

He was taken to Temple University Hospital and died.

The boulevard was shut down for about four hours.

The Philadelphia Police Department is now handling the investigation. No charges have been filed.
