PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — If you've ever walked around Philly and needed a coffee fix, chances are you've stopped in a Saxbys.

And the numbers substantiate the Philadelphia-based coffee chain's success.

Saxbys has been listed on the Inc. 5000's list of the fastest-growing private companies.

The annual ranking of businesses across the country is based on percentage revenue growth from 2014 to 2017. The minimum revenue required for 2014 is $100,000; the minimum for 2017 is $2 million.

Saxbys is ranked 2,065 out of 5,000 companies nationwide. In 2017, its revenue was reported as $8.6 million. Over three years, the company grew by 216 percent.

Saxbys made Inc.'s list in 2017 and 2016 as well.

In the food and beverage category, La Colombe Coffee Roaster also made the list locally, taking in $69.9 million in 2017.

Mayor Jim Kenney will be at the Saxbys headquarters Wednesday, located at 23rd and Chestnut streets, to speak on the coffee chain's success at 6:30 p.m.
