PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — Rescue crews were on the scene of a scaffolding collapse in University City Monday.

Police say just after 12:30 p.m. at 34th and Walnut streets, the scaffolding from a work site buckled and snapped in two, trapping two workers.

Two men were left hanging 50 feet in the air until rescue crews arrived. Police say the workers’ harnesses were secured correctly, which kept them from falling.

Officials quickly brought the two to safety, and there are no reported injuries.

There's no word yet on what caused the collapse.
