PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — For the sixth year in a row, SEPTA's elves got to have some fun with their holiday bus decoration contest.

From Santa to the Grinch, the elaborately themed buses were definitely a sight for sore eyes.

Vehicles from the 8 bus district were decked from the inside out. There were Christmas trees, reindeer, and even fireplaces.

"It's a lot of work, but we always have fun doing it and every year it gets better and better," said Joseph Gibson, a mechanic for SEPTA.

He says his team definitely put some elbow grease into their Nutcracker themed bus.

"Started watching the movies, cartoons, got the colors together and started cutting out the card board and paint and stuff," he said.

If you or your kids want to catch the buses - on display, that is - they'll be in Center City near Macy's on Saturday.
