NORRISTOWN, Pa. (KYW Newsradio) — Paperwork filed by the Montgomery County District Attorney's Office says a psychologist with the Sexual Offenders Assessment Board has found Bill Cosby to be a sexually violent predator. A spokeswoman for the DA says, under the law, they are required to notify the court that they intend to pursue it.

The DA’s office is requesting a hearing prior to sentencing for the court to make a determination.

Cosby already faces a lifetime of registration under Megan’s Law following his conviction on three counts of aggravated indecent assault, but if the court determines he is a sexually violent predator, there would be additional treatement while he was in prison, and also additional community notification if and when he got out of prison.

Cosby’s sentencing is scheduled for Sept. 24 and 25.

Cosby has been fitted with a GPS ankle bracelet, and has been ordered not to leave his Elkins Park home unless given permission.
