Snow squall warning in Philadelphia, surrounding region

PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — A snow squall warning is in effect until 3 p.m. for Philadelphia and its surrounding counties. 

The National Weather Service says this will impact road conditions on portions of interstates: I-276, I-295, I-476 and I-495 near Philadelphia; I-76 near Elverson, Pa.; I-287, I-78, US-202 and US-206 near Newark, N.J.; and I-78, I-476, US-222 and US-22 near Allentown, Pa. 

NWS tweeted that radar was showing squalls and snow showers moving across Berks County, the Lehigh Valley and the Poconos, accompanied by wind gusts in excess of 40 mph. 

The serive warns that visibility will drop briefly to a quarter mile or less and that a quick inch of snow may accumulate, causing hazardous travel conditions.
