PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — The Philadelphia Soul will play their 2018 home opener on Saturday night when they welcome the Baltimore Brigade to the Center.

The two-time defending ArenaBowl champs started off the season in style last weekend, going on the road and beating the Albany Empire, 56-35.

"Only giving up 35 points in arena football, you're going to win a lot of football games," Soul head coach Clint Dolezel told KYW Newsradio. "Especially with our offense, with the way we can put up points. That was a big plus for us. We knew our secondary was good. We're hoping our pass rush can put some pressure on the quarterback. We got a little, but we've got to be better there. I was happy with the performance overall."

Soul quarterback Dan Raudabaugh threw six touchdown passes in the win. Wide receiver Darius Prince caught three of the scoring tosses.

Baltimore opened its season with a 61-56 home win last weekend over the Washington Valor.

"Bunch of vets on their football team," Dolezel said. "They are a very good football team. Talent-wise they are right there with us. They've got a great coaching staff. They've got five great coaches. Three or four of them are Hall of Fame players that did really well in our league. We know we'll have our [work] cut out. They've got a great kicker. You've always got to worry about onside kicks. So it's going to be a great football game."

The Soul went 3-1 against Baltimore in 2017. That loss was the only one the Soul suffered the entire season.

Saturday night's game at the Center gets underway at 7 p.m.
