PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — We have some storms in the forecast for our area, and they could impact your commute to work tomorrow morning.

Forecasters say a line of storms are expected to pass through our region overnight.

Meteorologist Nick Carr with the National Weather Service out of Mount Holly, New Jersey says there could be severe weather mixed in.

"Mostly strong winds is the biggest threat at this time, but locally heavy rain associated with the storms could result in some street flooding type stuff," he said.

So how will this affect your Monday morning commute?

"It depends really how quickly the storms move through, they could actually move through before the bulk of the commute starts, but the timing is close enough where I wouldn't rule out some commute issues," he said.

Carr suggests checking the forecast before you head off to work, and leave yourself plenty of extra time to get to where you need to go.
