PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) - The Phillies and Aramark are hoping a new pilot program at Citizens Bank Park becomes a big hit with fans.

It's called "Brew2You" and it's being tested right now at Phillies home games through July and the first week of August. It's designed to make ordering drinks easier and more convenient.

"We have a couple beers to order and some water," said Aramark's Kevin Tedesco, "and the sections are right in front of Harry the K's restaurant, sections 142-145, and we're going to run this test for ten games with Apple."

That's right, all you need is an iPhone to try it out. Tedesco says you begin by taking a picture of the bar code on the seat in front of you, and the rest is simple.

"There's a popup, it tells you what different items you can order," he explained. "Hit the button, it sends, enter your seat number, you can add a tip to the order if you'd like, and then it's run out to your seats. It's all paid through Apple Pay so no cash transactions take place."

You won't find this at any other ballpark in the country.

"This is the first this is being used in this environment anywhere in the world," added Tedesco.

Ralph and Alex DelGiudice were among the first to try it out during Friday night's game, when the program launched.

"I just ordered a beer from my seat and it's here, so I love it," said Ralph. "I don't mind waiting because I'd rather stay here then go fight the crowd upstairs."

"It's very streamline, simple to use," Alex said. "I know some people don't like to leave their seats and go upstairs and get it, so I think it's a great thing."

When the pilot program ends after the Phillies' August 5th home game, everyone involved will reconvene to figure out what worked and what didn't work in hopes of making "Brew2You" a regular option at Citizens Bank Park moving forward.
