PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — With President Donald Trump coming to town this afternoon to speak at the National Electrical Contractor's Association trade show, getting around town could be a bit of a mess at times. Drivers can expect road closures to stretch from the airport into Center City around the Pennsylvania Convention Center.

Airforce One is expected to land at Philadelphia International Airport around 1:45 p.m. Tuesday and make his way to the Convention Center for a 2:15 p.m. appearance. That will lead to temporary closures on I-95, and parts of Vine and Race streets, as well.

Some other roads in those areas may also be closed, as the motorcade makes it way through Philadelphia.

There are also protests planned near Broad and Arch streets, so motorists should be prepared to avoid the area while the president is in town.

The president is expected to fly out just before 4 p.m., so drivers can expect those roads to be closed again just ahead of the evening rush.
