PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — Vending macines are used to sell almost everything these days. But a machine that dispenses cars? That's exactly what one dealer in Philly's Fishtown neighborhood is offering customers.

Just drop one of the big silver coins into the slot, and watch the magic happen.

"That will bring the vending machine to life. It will vend your car down to you as easy as a bag of chips," said Amy O'Hara of Carvana, a car-seller what works without dealerships.

It actually may be a little more complicated than that.

Taking a lift eight stories up into Carvana's steel-and-glass rectangular structure, O'Hara demonstrates the process with an orange-and-black Camaro — nicknamed Gritty.

"All the vehicles in the tower are already spoken for. Customers have already purchased them. They're just waiting for the customer to come down and get it," she said.

Customers also have the option for home delivery. This vending machine concept is less convenient but way more fun.
