PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — The Villanova Wildcats will welcome the Dukes of James Madison to the Main Line on Saturday for a Colonial Athletic Association clash.

Villanova is 3-3 (0-3 CAA) on the season and coming off a tough 13-10 road loss to Maine. In that game, the Black Bears won on a 52-yard field goal as time expired.

"The thing is that we had more opportunities to score really than they did," Villanova head coach Mark Ferrante said. "They had two red zone chances and came away with 10 points, a touchdown and a field goal. We had four red zone opportunities and came down with 10 points, a touchdown and a field goal. So we didn't take advantage of opportunities we had in parts of the game."

Sophomore Jack Schetelich started that game at quarterback for the Wildcats in place of senior Zach Bednarczyk, who sat out with a shoulder issue.

"Zach practiced (Tuesday), so we're hoping we can get Zach back for this game against James Madison," Ferrante said. "Jack obviously is getting reps in practice as well so we can prepare both guys as best we can. I think we will know the status on Zach, probably no later than Thursday."

James Madison is ranked eighth in the country in FCS. (Villanova is 25th.) The Dukes are 4-2 (2-1 CAA) and coming off a 27-24 loss to No. 10 Elon.

"They're fast," Ferrante said. "Their size, they've never been the biggest team we've faced within league, especially on defense, but they've always been probably one of the most athletic and fast teams that we face. They have a real good return game so you have to be good on your coverage units."

Last year, Villanova lost on the road to James Madison, 30-8.

Saturday's game at Villanova Stadium gets underway at 1 p.m.
