CAMDEN, N.J. (KYW Newsradio) — A Camden hospital, left at the altar by a previous suitor, is being sold to Virtua Health System.

Virtua has agreed to buy the Lourdes Health System, which operates Our Lady of Lourdes Medical Center in Camden and Lourdes Medical Center of Burlington County. Terms of the agreement were not disclosed, and a news release said Virtua executives would not be doing interviews on the deal at this time.

Virtua was already one of New Jersey's largest health care players, with more than 9,000 employees at three hospitals, urgent care and other facilities. Cooper University last year backed out on a reported $135 million deal to acquire Lourdes. The Virtua deal still requires state and federal approvals.
