A West Chester University professor who returned to Ohio for the holiday is now missing.

WEST CHESTER, Pa. (KYW Newsradio) — A West Chester University professor who returned to Ohio for the holiday is now missing.

WCU has sent out a statement to the college community saying Dr. Tom Short, an associate professor of math, traveled to Orange Village, Ohio for Thanksgiving. He registered at a local hotel, but never arrived for the family dinner. 

His car was found.

A missing persons investigation is now underway by the Orange Police Department.
